ATTLEBORO, Mass. – The New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) selected Southern Vermont College senior Liv Sowles (Sacramento, Calif.) as its Women's Volleyball Player of the Week for the period ending September 16, 2018 as announced by the league on Monday.

Sowles had a great week for SVC as she helped lead the Mountaineers to a 3-1 record. The captain had four match-highs in the kills column with her top tally being 18 kills on Wednesday against SUNY Delhi. Sowles put up a double-double against the Broncos with 12 digs that night, and she then posted 13 kills and a pair of aces to help SVC sweep Lesley University on Saturday in the Mountaineers' NECC opener. She averaged 4.69 kills and 2.15 digs per set for the week.

Monday's honor is Sowles' second for her career after she was named the NECC Player of the Week once in 2017.
