NORTHFIELD, Vt. – The Southern Vermont College women's volleyball team fell 3-0 Wednesday evening at Norwich University's Andrews Hall in non-conference action.
Norwich tied the all-time series at 4-4 with straight set wins of 25-13, 25-21, and 26-24. The Cadets improve to 4-7 on the season while SVC moves to 4-4 with the loss.
Southern Vermont senior Jessica Delgado (Los Angeles, California) had match-highs of 10 kills and 13 digs to go with three service aces. Classmate Alexandra Sinicropi (Fultonville, New York) had nine assists and added 10 digs to her night's line.
Senior outside hitter Alex Palmer (South Windsor, Connecticut) had nine kills, while junior Tara Lyons (Pocasset, Massachusetts) and senior Kelsey Mancini (Lynnfield, Massachusetts) had seven and six kills, respectively, to lead the Cadets' attack.
SVC is back in action on Saturday when the Mountaineers travel to Rivier University for an afternoon tri-match; Southern Vermont takes on Colby College at 1 p.m. and then the hosting Raiders at 3 p.m. Norwich next plays at the same times on Saturday in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference tri-match at Lasell College, matching up against the University of Saint Joseph (1 p.m.) and then the Lasers (3 p.m.).
