    MARCY, N.Y. – The Southern Vermont women’s volleyball team lost, for the second time this year, to SUNY-IT in non-conference play Wednesday 3-0 (25-8, 25-6, 25-11). Serve errors and ball handling errors played the biggest role in the loss for the Mountaineers.

    POULTNEY, Vt. – Green Mountain College defeated Southern Vermont College 3 sets to 0 in Sunday’s non-conference match in Poultney. The Eagles strong serving game defeated the Mountaineers by scores of 25-10, 25-14, and 25-10.

    BENNINGTON, Vt. - The Southern Vermont women's volleyball team playing with only six players could not defeat their NECC rival Newbury, 2-10 overall (1-0 NECC). The Mountaineers come up short 3-0 (25-15, 25-18, 25-17) in what was their most exciting match of the year.

SVC lost three straight with game scores of: 25-8, 25-6, & 25-14.

The Mountaineers played some good sets against the first place opponent but could not pull off the victory with 25-13. 25-11, & 25-14 games to lose in a 3-0 sweep.

    BENNINGTON, Vt. – The Mountaineer women’s volleyball team had a close game against New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) opponent Mitchell but could not find themselves in the win column. The final score was 3-0 in Mitchell’s favor with game scores of 25-11, 25-20, 25-8.

    BENNINGTON, Vt. – The Mountaineers remained competitive against the Wildcats polished play but couldn’t pull off the victory losing sets: 25-12, 25-5, & 25-9. The loss drops the Southern Vermont women’s volleyball team to a record of 0-8 on the season. They could not find their rhythm and fell behind right off the first whistle.

This seemed to prove true for the Southern Vermont College Women’s Volleyball team, who played much better against Castleton State College on Thursday night despite still losing 3-0 to the Spartans in a match played at Castleton, Vt.

    Bennington, VT- The Southern Vermont College women’s volleyball team suffered defeat in their first match of the 2008 season Wednesday, dropping the contest to in-state rival Norwich 3-0. The Cadets won by scores of 25-3, 25-6 and 25-8.
