WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The Southern Vermont College softball team dropped a pair of non-conference games Wednesday afternoon, losing 14-0 and then 16-3, both in five innings, at Williams College's Cole Field.

The Ephs jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the first and added five more in the second for a cushion that wouldn't be jeopardized. Williams scored five in the top of the second in the nightcap, but the Mountaineers trimmed that to a 5-3 lead in the bottom of the frame. WC responded, however, with five more in both the third and fourth en route to the sweep.

With the twin-bill originally scheduled to be played at Southern Vt., the Mountaineers batted as the home team during the afternoon.
