    CHICOPEE, Mass. - The softball team ended its season today at Elms College dropping both games in five innings. Katelyn Boyd went the distance in both games for the Mountaineers on the mound.

    BENNINGTON, Vt. – The Southern Vermont Mountaineers fell on Senior Day in two games to NECC foe Newbury College. The Nighthawks defeated SVC 10-1 and 13-4.

    Leicester, Mass. – Becker College swept a doubleheader in softball action today over New England Collegiate Conference rival Southern Vermont 9-5 and 12-4. Sophomore catcher Larissa Paula led the Hawks going a combined 5 for 8 with 4 RBI’s in the games.

    CHESTNUT HILL, MA - Wheelock College swept past Southern Vermont College with a pair of one-run New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) softball victories on Sunday, 3-2 and 9-8, at Pine Manor College's softball field. The Wildcats snapped a six-game losing streak in improving to 4-8 overall and 2-4 in the league, while the Mountaineers are now 0-22 and 0-10.

    NASHUA, N.H. – Junior Amy Waller went 5 for 5 with two doubles and two RBI in game one and added a two-run triple in game two and the Daniel Webster softball team combined for 32 hits on the way to a 15-13 and 11-1 sweep of Southern Vermont College in a pair of New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) matchups Saturday at a frigid Eagle Field.

    BENNINGTON, Vt. – Bay Path College defeated SVC in two games this afternoon. The first game the Mountaineers lost 16-3 and in game two they were defeated 8-3.

    LYNN, Mass. – The Softball team traveled to Fisher College for a doubleheader but only played five innings in game 1 before the umpires ruled the field unsafe to play on. SVC was defeated by Fisher 6-4 on a muddy field. Fisher College improved to 1-13 while SVC fell to 0-6.

    MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The Southern Vermont Softball team opened its regular season play against SUNYIT and King’s College in Myrtle Beach, SC. The Mountaineers were defeated 24-3 (five innings) against SUNYIT and lost 12-0 (five innings) against Kings College.

    BENNINGTON, Vt. - The Southern Vermont softball team will be wrapping up its Fall season this Sunday, October 3rd, at Willow Park in Bennington, VT. The Mountaineers will be hosting SUNY Cobleskill and Herkimer CC in a tripleheader day. Game 1 will feature SVC vs. SUNY Cobleskill at 12:00 p.m. Game 2 will be SUNY Cobleskill vs. Herkimer CC at 2:00 p.m. The day will be concluded by SVC and Herkimer CC at 4:00 p.m.
