    BENNINGTON, Vt. – The Southern Vermont men's volleyball team faced growing pains after dropping a lopsided decision to Massachusetts Institute of Technology, one of the top ranked division III teams in the country, 3-0 with sets of 30-9, 30-5, and 30-10 Friday night at the SVC Field House.

    CHICOPEE, MA., Feb. 16, 2008 – Elms College freshman middle blocker Curt Despard (Enfield, CT) hammered down a match high 18 kills on 23 attempts to lead the Blazers in a decisive 3-0 (30-17, 30-10, 30-14) win over Southern Vermont in Saturday afternoon’s North East Collegiate Volleyball Association (NECVA) New England Division men’s volleyball match at the Maguire Center.
