Men’s Soccer Ends Regular Season with 5-0 NECC Loss at Lesley

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Southern Vermont College men's soccer team concluded its 2017 regular season Saturday night as the Mountaineers were downed 5-0 by Lesley University in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) action at Edwards Field

SVC heads into the league's postseason after posting a Conference record of 3-4 (5-14 overall); the Mountaineers will host Newbury College on Tuesday for a 1 p.m. first-round playoff matchup.

Lesley got on the board early with a goal in the sixth minute, and the hosts then scored twice in a span of 2:58 of clock time to go on top 3-0 by the end of the 17th. LU would notch another goal just 8:09 into the second half before putting it out of reach with the hosts' fifth coming in the 63rd minute.

Mountaineer freshman keeper Dylan Berg (Tampa, Fla.) turned away nine Lynx shots in the loss (5-14).
