    The New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) announced Friday the 2012 Fall Academic All-Conference Teams, and of the 169 student-athletes around the conference who were named for their respective sports, 14 are representatives from Southern Vermont College.

The teams celebrated Senior Day, honoring the three senior members of both the Mountaineers and the Nighthawks; SVC also wore pink uniforms for its Pink Out Day, supporting breast cancer awareness.

With the loss, the Mountaineers fall to 1-2 in the New England Collegiate Conference (2-10 overall), while the Mariners move to 2-1 (4-5 overall) with the win.

The group consists of players from five different states and from as far away as Southern California. Six of the players are true freshmen, while one is a transfer from a 4-year institution and two are from 2-year junior college programs.
