Chris Hanson and Aaron Eschler made the NECC Second-Team and Noah Massucci rounded out the SVC allocates as he made the Honorable-Mention Team.

    PLAYER OF THE WEEK — Southern Vermont College junior forward Nick Haggerty (Wynantskill, N.Y.) tied a school record with five goals in a 5-2 win over NECC rival Elms College. This performance led the Mountaineers to their first conference win with four of the five goals coming in a nine minute span. Haggerty also had a goal in a tough 4-2 loss against NCAA DIII opponent Skidmore. He tallied 12 points including a game winner for the week.

    BENNINGTON, Vt. – In epic fashion the Southern Vermont College men’s soccer team defeated the in-state rival Castleton State College Spartans 1-0 on Everett Field Wednesday night. Junior captain Nick Haggerty drilled it past the Spartan keeper within three feet of the frame for the game-winning goal in the 16th minute of play. Junior Aaron Eschler got the shutout win as he tallied 10 saves from a relentless CSC front.
