Massena represented the Mountaineers on the soccer pitch for three years after transferring to Southern Vermont in 2011.  Massena was a First Team All-NECC selection in all three years at Southern Vermont, and played a crucial role in the Mountaineers run to the NECC Championship game and regular season title in 2011.  Massena was a captain for both the 2012 and 2013 seasons.

After graduating in 2014, Massena played for the semi-professional Vermont Voltage.  He currently works for Metlife as a casualty adjuster in Troy, NY.
