Lauren Godde joined SVC Athletics in August 2018 as an assistant coach for both the women’s volleyball and women’s basketball programs.
Godde played volleyball and basketball at Division II’s California State University, Stanislaus prior to graduating in 2014 with her Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology. While there, she played hoops for two years under Coach Gowan—who was an assistant for the Warriors—while making her way to the California Collegiate Athletic Association All-Second Team in both 2013 and 2014. Godde graduated with the fifth-most points in Stanislaus history (988) and the fifth-most rebounds (536).
After Stanislaus, Godde ventured to England where she continued playing basketball while studying at both Newcastle University and Northumbria University. She received her Master of Arts in International Educational Perspectives (Leadership and Management) from Newcastle in August 2017 before obtaining her Master of Science in Strength and Conditioning from Northumbia in September ’17. From September 2016 until January 2018, Godde worked as a strength and conditioning intern at Newcastle.
