ATHLETE OF THE WEEK FOR PERIOD ENDING 3/10/19

Sydnee Julian #18 (Women’s Lacrosse)
Sr. / 5-2 / Goalkeeper
Hometown: Mexico, N.Y.
High School: Mexico HS
Major: Criminal Justice

Inside the numbers:
Julian posted double figures in the saves column in each of SVC’s season-opening games last week. She made 11 stops at Simmons on Friday, and the senior followed with 12 at Bard the following day. Those marked the fifth and sixth career games that Julian hit double digits for saves.

What Coach Boyer is saying:
"Syd has really stepped into the spot of ‘silent leader’ on our team. She may not say much at times, but her actions speak volumes. These past two games, she has really shown her mental toughness while facing 78 shots, making key saves, and helping us get through some tough times. I am so proud of Syd and all that she has accomplished so far this year. I cannot wait to see what she does in the latter half of the season."
