SVC Takes A Look Back At Top 2011 Moments

BENNINGTON, Vt.- As the Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams gear up to play their first games of the 2012 year, the Southern Vermont College Athletic Department took a look back on the top ten moments of 2011.

Cross Country Competes in First Regional Since 2003

BOSTON, MA- For the first time since 2003 the Southern Vermont College Cross Country team competed in the NCAA regional. At the event there were 99 teams that had five or more finishers and 675 athletes. SVC had a solid day in the Mountaineers return to the regional.

Cross Country Continues to Make Improvements

On a brisk day at Mines Falls Park in Nashua, NH the Southern Vermont Cross Country team ran at the NECC Championship, Saturday afternoon. SVC had its best showings in 2011. The Men’s team came across the line in fourth place while the Women finished seventh.

Cross Country Competes at Western New England Invite

SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- The Southern Vermont College Cross Country teams competed in the Western New England Invitational this past weekend. The Men’s team finished in 15th out of 16 and the Women’s team placed 19th. The Mountaineers Olivia Botteron finished 120 with a time of 24:45 in the women’s race. On the Men’s side, the lead runner was Heherson Canta with a time of 31:06.
