2011 MOUNTAINEER INVITATIONAL
WHAT: Southern Vermont College will be hosting its annual Mountaineer Invitational on September 24, 2011. This fun and highly competitive event will be run on the SVC trails and campus vicinity. For those who are not familiar with the area, SVC is nestled into the side of Bennington's Mt. Anthony. The completely re-designed course has excellent flow, numerous climbs, rolling sections, and scenery. The 2011 Mountaineer invitational will use chip timing and have a fun, 5K citizen’s race after conclusion of the college events.
If you are interested in participating in the collegiate race, please download and return the intent to participate form HERE. Official entry forms and race information will be mailed to interested schools in early August.

SCHEDULE (Tentative): 8:30 AM- 10:00 AM Bib Pick Up
10:00 AM Start Intercollegiate Men’s 8K Race
11:00 AM Start Intercollegiate Women’s 5K Race
11:45 AM (or as soon as possible) Intercollegiate Awards Ceremony
12:00 PM Start SVC 5K Challenge Citizen’s Race
1:00 PM (or as soon as possible) SVC 5K Challenge Citizen’s Race Awards
ENTRY FEES: $80 per Men’s Team/$80 per Women’s Team
$15 per entry for incomplete teams
AWARDS: Top 10 Male and Female Participants will receive event t-shirts
First place and runner up Teams will receive plaques
RESULTS: meet results will be available on our website (www.svcathletics.com) and e-mailed to head coaches of participating schools.
