Harriers Compete At Mount Saint Mary Invitational

NEWBURGH, N.Y. - The Southern Vermont men's and women's cross country teams ran at the Mount Saint Mary College Blue Knight Invitational on Saturday placing 15 of 15 in the women's race and 16 of 19 in the men's at Chadwick Lake Park.
The women finished with Victoria Hernas (76), Brittany Stark (77), Lauren Masiero (87), Angela Colby (89), and Erin Prom (90) for a total of 419 points.
The first place team was Union College who racked up only 49 points with runners finishing 2, 5, 8, 12, and 22.
The men finished Matt Schwab (64), Jordan Smith (89), Andre Cavalier (90), Lance Spratling (108), and Tenzin Kunsel (111) for a total of 462 points.
The first place team was Molloy College who had the first place runner and had 69 points finishing 1, 7, 13, 21, and 27.
The Mountaineer harriers are competing next Saturday, October 10th, at the James Early Memorial Invitational in Westfield, Mass. The women's 5K race is at 11:00 a.m. and the men's 8K race is at 12:00 p.m.
