Men Place Fourth In Green Mountain Meet

POULTNEY, Vt. - The Hudson Valley CC men's cross-country team swept the honors in the men's 8K while the Albany College of Pharmacy women's cross-country team narrowly edged Green Mountain College to win the 3rd Annual GMC Invitational Saturday morning. The Southern Vermont College men's team placed fourth while the women's team only saw four cross the finish line.
Matt Schwab led the men finishing in 13th place with a time of 32:38. The rest of the pack followed closely behind with Corey Briggs (21st, 35:10), Andre Cavalier (25th, 36:26), Tenzin Kunsel (27th, 38:45), Mike Larsen (30th, 44:21), and Max Ginter (31st, 44:22)
The women were led by Brittany Stark who finished in 20th place with a time of 25:28. The next three came in as follows: Angela Colby (27th, 28:25), Lauren Masiero (28th, 28:57), Erin Prom (30th, 29:38).
The Mountaineers teams are looking to complete their season October 31 at the NECC Cross Country Championships hosted by Elms College. The 5K women's race starts at 11:00 a.m. while the 8K men's race is at 12:00 p.m.
