BENNINGTON, Vt.- As the year of 2011 came to an end, the Bennington Banner recognized the top 10 sports moments around the area. The Southern Vermont College Women’s Volleyball team made the list at number nine for its historic 2011 season.

Alvarez Named to Third Team All-New England
November 17, 2011
BENNINGTON, Vt.- Southern Vermont College Outside Hitter, Jessica Alvarez (Eagle Rock, CA) was named to the third team All-New England team, Thursday afternoon. The All-New England Team was announced by the New England Women’s Volleyball Association (NEWVA). Alvarez a junior was also named New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Player of the Year.
