Women’s Volleyball Ranks among Top 10 in NCAA Statistics

BENNINGTON, Vt.- The Southern Vermont College Women's Volleyball team not only is off to the best start in school history, for any athletic program, they are off to one of the best starts in the NCAA. The Mountaineers were recently ranked in the top 10 of two NCAA statistical categories. Southern Vermont is sixth in the country for Division III in hitting percentage with a .377 hitting percentage. The Mountaineers are led by Danielle Healis and Alicia Manzo who each are hitting over .300. SVC also ranks in the top ten in aces per set. The Mountaineers have tallied 3.98 aces per set in their first twelve matches of the season. Individually SVC's Jessica Alvarez is 35th in the country with 4.51 points per set.
