Eagles Fly Past Mountaineer Women's Soccer

NASHUA, N.H. – Daniel Webster College defeated NECC rival Southern Vermont College 7-0 Sunday at Eagle Field as Jennifer Trombley and Becca Jordan each netted two goals apiece to lead the Eagles to victory.

The Eagles got off to a fast start as Sophomore Sarah Blanchard scored the first goal only a minute into the game.

Jordan netted two unassisted goals for the Eagles scoring just 13 minutes into play and again at the 55 minute mark.

Both of Trombley's goals came off of assists from Nikki Gassert at the 20 minute and 47 minute marks.

Junior Alexa Quintiliani netted sixth point of the day off of an assist from Blanchard 75 minutes into the game.

The Eagles final score of the day came with 5 minutes left on the clock when Sarah Clark netted a goal off of a rebound from a shot by Gassert that had hit the goalpost.

Southern Vermont freshman Catrina Cecchini had 15 saves for the Mountaineers.

Southern Vermont will face Johnson State at home on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m.
