Michael Zauzig Takes Over Women's Soccer Program

Southern Vermont College is proud to announce the hiring of Michael Zauzig as the new Head Women’s Soccer Coach. Zauzig is bringing a wealth of coaching knowledge with him to SVC.

"I am honored that Southern Vermont College has given me this opportunity to guide their women's soccer program,” said Zauzig. “I know this is a team that has enjoyed success in its past, and I'm anxious to get to work building a program that can compete with the very best in this conference. Personally, it's every coach’s dream to have their own program and I'm excited to start working with the ladies here at SVC."

Zauzig most recently was the Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach at his alma mater Juniata College. He led the Goalkeepers from 2008-2011. At that time Juniata, competed in the Landmark Conference postseason tournament in 2008 and 2010. The program also has been awarded eight consecutive NSCAA Team Academic Awards.

Zauzig has worked at several soccer camps including the Penn State University Summer and Gettysburg College Summer camps.  He is a member of the National Soccer Coaches Association (NSCAA). Zauzig has NSCAA State Goalkeeping (Level 1) and Regional Goalkeeping (Level 2) diplomas.

He graduated from Juniata College in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Education and in 2010 he earned his PA Instructional I Certification in Elementary Education.
