BENNINGTON, Vt. - The Southern Vermont College women's soccer team led by a Shawnee Webster goal could not fight off the Wheelock College Wildcats as the Mountaineers rapped up NECC play with a 3-1 loss at Everett Field Saturday afternoon.

Amber Mulhern had seven saves in the loss while Allie Chiesa had two saves for Wheelock (3-12) and picked up the victory. All four goals in the game were unassisted and Nicki Wilson had two for the Wildcats including the game winner in the 67th minute of play.

It was senior day for all SVC sports and women's soccer only said farewell to one student-athlete this year: Kimberly Bevis. Bevis will be graduating this spring with a Bachelors degree in Psychology. She is a two year starter, playing in the defense. Bevis was a graduate of Tamarac High School, and a solid performer in the back for the Mountaineers defense
