BENNINGTON, Vt. - The Southern Vermont College women's soccer team lost in non-conference play to the Regis College Pride 4-0 on Everett Field Monday. Amber Mulhern nabbed 12 saves while the Pride's Ashley Hibbard had two unassisted goals in the non-conference game.

The Mountaineers held Regis at bay for the first 18 minutes of play until Julia Austin put the Pride on the board on a neat cross pass from Meghan Roan.

Hibbard scored in the 32nd minute to make it 2-0 RC going into the break. Mulhern had nine of her 12 saves in the 1st period.

Southern Vermont had several scoring opportunities off of Regis fouls as Danielle Celotto served up two beautiful shots; one that nicked the cross bar and one that was just wide left.

The Pride was a bit more physical racking up 14 fouls to SVC's four and getting a yellow card with seconds left in the first period.

Hibbard scored again in heavy traffic in the Mountaineers box in the 56th minute of play and Roan did the same with an unassisted goal five minutes later to make it 4-0 Regis.

The loss gives SVC a 0-11 overall record while the Pride improved to 2-10-1 this season.

The Mountaineers are slated to host the Green Mountain College Eagles Wednesday, October 14th, on Everett Field at 4:00 p.m.
