Soccer Coach Holcombe leads Select U16 Team to Victory
MANCHESTER, Vt. - SVC Soccer Coach Shawn Holcombe's SVM Fusion Soccer Club team of U16 girls have shone on the field this season, winning four out of six tournaments against teams from New York State, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Maine including the Rotterdam Kick-off Classic and the Guilderland Invitational.
Holcombe, who coached two teams of girls, enjoyed the team's most recent win this weekend at the Green Mountain Challenge in Weston, Vermont, where his A team out-played competitive Select and Premier teams from New York and Connecticut. Holcombe was assisted by SVC soccer player and 2009 graduate Leslie Surdam.
