Nighthawks Slip By Mountaineers
BENNINGTON, Vt. - The Southern Vermont College women's soccer team held New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) foe Newbury College to just one goal but missed several scoring opportunities losing 1-0 Saturday. That completes the season for the Mountaineers who posted a 0-14 overall record (0-8 in the NECC).

Freshmen Daryl Aubin (Forestdale, R.I./North Smithfield HS and Cassandra Brooks (Barre, VT/Spaulding HS) also contributed with a shot apiece and strong defense throughout the game.
In the 28th minute Newbury freshman midfielder Rachel Wyszynski launched it from 30 feet out past a diving Mountaineer freshman goalkeeper Jillian Neudecker (Johnsonville, N.Y./Tamarac HS) for an unassisted goal. Neudecker finished with four saves giving her a season total of 219.
Junior goalkeeper Anastasia Tridenti had five saves and got the shutout for the Nighthawks.
