SVC Takes A Look Back At Top 2011 Moments

BENNINGTON, Vt.- As the Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams gear up to play their first games of the 2012 year, the Southern Vermont College Athletic Department took a look back on the top ten moments of 2011.
Mountaineers Drop 2-0 Decision In ECAC Quarter-Finals

WALTHAM, MA.- The number one seed Brandeis University survived a scare from eighth seeded Southern Vermont College in the first round of ECAC Men’s Soccer action Wednesday night. The host Judges scored a goal in each half to end the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) regular season champion, Mountaineers, season.
Men’s Soccer Invited to ECAC Tournament

WALTHAM, MA- The Southern Vermont Men’s Soccer team earned a berth to the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) post-season Monday afternoon. The ECAC invites eight teams from the region that do not qualify for the NCAA tournament and have an above .500 record. Southern Vermont will take on New England region, number one seed, Brandeis University. SVC will travel to Brandeis Wednesday evening at 7:00PM.
Four Plus Penrod Earn All NECC

BENNINGTON, Vt.- Four Southern Vermont College Men’s soccer players earned All-Conference honors Monday afternoon. Head Coach Tim Penrod, also was named Coach of the Year in his fifth season at the helm. Penrod led the Mountaineers to its first ever New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) regular season championship in 2011, and its second consecutive runner up finish in the conference tournament.
