Haggerty Among Nation’s Top Goal Scorers

BENNINGTON, Vt.- Southern Vermont College senior forward, Nick Haggerty has continued his on field success in 2011 with 11 goals through 10 games. In the recent statistics release by the NCAA, Haggerty is tied for 6^th in Division III for goals.

The senior captain is averaging 1.1 goals per game which is 10^th in the country for DIII and averages 2.2 points per game, 25^th in the NCAA Division III. Haggerty, the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) leading scorer, isn’t the only Mountaineer represented on the list of Division III statistical leaders. The Mountaineers high powered offense is 63^rd in scoring offense with 2.4 goals per game. Chris Hansen is 160^th with .38 assists per game and Pierre Massena is 97^th in total points with 15.
