BENNINGTON, Vt. – The Southern Vermont College men’s soccer team lost to non-conference foe the Morrisville State College Mustangs 1-0 Tuesday night on Everett Field. The winning goal came on a rebound shot by MSC’s Tim Benedict with only three seconds to go in regulation.

Southern Vermont falls to 4-5 overall with the loss, while the Mustangs improve to 5-4 overall on the year. SVC keeper Aaron Eschler had eight saves. Junior Ben Naaktgeboren had the Mountaineers only shots on goal, including one that hit the right post and deflect out of bounds in the second half.

The Mountaineers are back in action on Saturday, October 2nd, when it faces NECC foe Daniel Webster College. The contest is slated for a 12:00 p.m. kickoff.
