Southern Vermont Sweeps Men's Soccer NECC Weekly Honors

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Southern Vermont College sophomore forward Nick Haggerty (Wynantskill, N.Y.) was a key factor in bothwins during a 2-0 week. Haggerty scored one goal and tallied one assist in a 3-1 win over Johnson State. The Mountaineers came back to defeat NECC opponent Becker 3-2 in double overtime play. Haggerty assisted on all three goals for the match. For the week, he tallied six points.

   

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Fellow Southern Vermont College freshman forward Adrien Alexis (Maplewood, N.J.) played the major role in the 3-2 double overtime victory over NECC rival Becker netting the game winner with just six seconds left in the game. Alexis also notched a goal in a 3-1 win against Johnson State. For the two games, he had three goals for six points.
