Haggerty Wins NECC Player Of The Week

OF THE WEEK — Southern Vermont College sophomore forward Nick
Haggerty (Wynantskill, N.Y.) led his team to another 2-0 undefeated
week. Haggerty scored two goals and one assist in a 5-0 rout of
Green Mountain, while tallying a hat-trick including the game
winner in a 6-0 shutout over NECC opponent Wheelock. For the week,
Haggerty had four goals and two assists for ten points for the
Mountaineers.
"Nick had a big week for us," said Head Coach Tim Penrod. "During
the first two weeks of the season, he played more of a set up man
role for us. However, this week he showed that he's a good striker
and can find the back of the net when the opportunity presents
itself. His teammates put him in a position to be successful in
both games, and he took full advantage."
