Trailblazers Edge Mountaineers In Overtime

BENNINGTON, Vt. - The Southern Vermont College men's soccer team lost in overtime 1-0 to Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in non-conference action Tuesday afternoon at Everett Field. The goal came in the 95th minute when the Trailblazer's Casey Baker snuck one by a diving SVC keeper.

The game was physical from the get go with over 30 tallied both teams combine (14 SVC, 16 MCLA). Also three yellow cards were flashed as the defense from each team remained competitive throughout the contest.

Trailblazer keeper Adam Tarsa had three saves and got the win at goal for MCLA. Mountaineer Aaron Eschler played the first half nabbing two saves for SVC and Elias Skiff played the remainder of the game swiping three saves.

The loss gives Southern Vermont a 10-4-1 overall record, while MCLA improved to 7-5-1.
