Warrington Garners NECC Rookie Of The Week
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK - Southern Vermont College freshman outfielder Pat Warrington (Folcroft, Pa.) batted .471 (8-for-17) with one double, two home runs, 10 RBI and five runs scored as the Mountaineers raced to a 3-1 weekly mark. Warrington hit safely and scored at least one run in each of the four games, and tallied multiple RBI in three different contests, including a pair of four-RBI showings against MCLA and NECC foe Newbury. He did not strike out in 17 trips to the plate.
"It's an honor to win the Rookie of the Week for the NECC. I've been swinging a hot stick, but I couldn't have won this award without the rest of the team," said Warrington.
