SVC Baseball Falls To Merchant Marines
FORT MYERS, Fla. - Southern Vermont baseball could not find an answer to the Merchant Marines of New York falling 15-1 Wednesday. Dan Cook (Watervliet, N.Y.) had an RBI single in the sixth giving SVC its lone run on the afternoon.
Dave Gage (Gloversville, N.Y.) had a single and scored a run off of Cook's single to put SVC on the board.
Will Warner (Waterford, Conn.) started the game for the Mountaineers and had a strong performance striking out eight Mariners.
Ultimately Southern Vermont's five errors gave the Marines enough room to breath and the win.
