Baseball

Dan returns to the Mountaineers for his second season after coming from Watervliet, New York where he played at Watervliet High School. Last year as a freshman he led the team at the plate in batting average, slugging percentage, on base percentage, hits, RBIs, total bases, and walks. Under pressure, the marketing/business major was 4 for 5 with the bases loaded. Behind the plate he led the team in fielding percentage, picked off 2 runners and caught 10 more stealing, earning the team Gold Glove Award. The first year captain was named a Second-Team AD3I All-American in 2008, and he is the son of Dan and Linda Cook.
